Welcome to InTrust Knowledge Pack for ActiveRoles Server

Quest® InTrust™ Knowledge Pack for ActiveRoles Server is a link between Quest® InTrust™ on the one hand and ActiveRoles Server on the other hand. It enables you to use the InTrust workflow to control the operation of ActiveRoles Server.

 


Known Issues

The following is a list of issues known to exist at the time of the InTrust Knowledge Pack for ActiveRoles Server 6.0 release.

Upgrade and Compatibility

This version of Quest InTrust Knowledge Pack for ActiveRoles Server can be installed on InTrust Server 9.6 machines with Quest InTrust Knowledge Pack for Active Roles Server 5.2 or Enterprise Directory Manager Knowledge Pack for InTrust 9.5 installed. These versions of Knowledge Packs do not affect functionality of each other and can be used independently on the same computer.

Global Operations

This release supports any single-byte or multi-byte character set. In this release, all product components should be configured to use the same or compatible character encodings and should be installed to use the same locale and regional options. This release is targeted to support operations in the following regions: North America, Western Europe and Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, Far-East Asia, Japan.

The Quest® InTrust™ Knowledge Pack for ActiveRoles Server release package contains the following products:

  1. Quest InTrust Knowledge Pack for ActiveRoles Server (<DVD_root>\Knowledge Packs\Knowledge Pack for Quest ARS\Server\ARS_KP.9.6.0.11.msi).
  2. Quest InTrust Report Pack for ActiveRoles Server (QKP 1.0) (<DVD_root>\Knowledge Packs\Knowledge Pack for Quest ARS\Report Packs\IT96_ActiveRoleServer.1.0.042.00.msi).
  3. Product documentation including:

Installation Instructions

To install Quest® InTrust™ Knowledge Pack for ActiveRoles Server, do one of the following :

  1. Start autorun.exe in the root folder of the Quest® InTrust™ 9.6 DVD and select Knowledge Pack for Quest Active Roles Server on the Knowledge Packs tab of the Autorun application window.
  2. Start the <DVD_root>\Knowledge Packs\Knowledge Pack for Quest ARS\Suite\aecdsuitelauncher.exe.
  3. Start <DVD_root>\Knowledge Packs\Knowledge Pack for Quest ARS\Server\ARS_KP.9.6.0.11.msi (to install Knowledge Pack only) or <DVD_root>\Knowledge Packs\Knowledge Pack for Quest ARS\Report Packs\IT96_ActiveRoleServer.1.0.042.00.msi (to install Report Pack only).
