Reset archivemgr_esm service account password?

Hi,

One more question from me (busy month!)

We may need to reset the password for our Archivemgr_esm service account. What considerations are there in this case? Obviously I'll need to enter the new password into the service account credentials (And I assume restart ESM Service), but am not sure what else may need to be done?

Hello myles.toomey,

That is correct - from Services.msc you would simply update the Service Account password for the Exchange Store Manager Service. If you were also resetting the password for the account running the Application Pool on the Web Server hosting the Archive Manager website (by default ArchiveMgr_Service) then you would have to specifically do that from within IIS.
