Display username variable in email subject line

We recently migrated from InTrust to CA.

We had a Real Time Alert to send an email if a user account gets locked out. In InTrust we could send all the relevant information in just the subject line, with the body providing further details.

After migrating (rebuilding) these alerts into CA searches, there are a limited number of variables available to us. This has caused complaints from our Service Desk teams.

An example of a subject line that we would like would be something along the lines of:

"Change Auditor Alert: Account %username% locked out on %computername%"

These emails also feed into an automatic ticketing system (ServiceNow) so that would help drive workflow via this.

CA seems to provide no useful variables in the subject, but they are available in the body, why is this?

Thanks for reading.
