Failed - Credentials are missing

Hi,

I'm testing the foglight enterprise and in optimization gives an error "Failed  - Credentials are missing".

I create a lockbox and then a credential domain, username, password (windows) but the error stays.

I have shore that this is the correct credentials to access the VM.

What can I do?

Thanks

  • For optimizer to work, you are not only need a credential but also credential group ; then you need assign VM to that group.

Please take a look this doc and let us know if you have any more questions

  • Hi Lee,

Yes I created that but it gives an error: A Credential with purpose OptimizerCredentials has been encrypted with a lockbox that has not been granted to this Agent Manager.

Is not my first time using foglight but this time my authentication is not working.
  • Thanks for clarification. There are few possible cause for this and can you try:
    1. GO to UI | Administration | Credentials | Mange Lockboxe
    2. Select lockbox contain Optimizer credential and click release to credential clients
    3. Select FGLAM host where you run VMWare agent then click release
    4. Try again in Optimizer
    5. If not working, please restart FGLAM and repeat step 1 to 3
    6. If still not working, please crease support ticket and one of our Support Engineer will help you check deeper
    7. Please include following information when you create support ticket
    . FMS support bundle
. FGLAM support bundle from where you run VMware agent
. Does the lock box contain optimizer credentials have password protection
. Are you using non-system lock box for optimizer
