Readme for Funnel Web Analyzer (Enterprise & Freeware) 5.0 Patch Release ------------------------------------------------------------- The patch for Funnel Web Analyzer is for the Linux releases only. It fixes a defect (CR40864) whereby, in certain circumstances, the visitor and session counts within the monthly traffic reports were not being calculated correctly. This resulted in reported session counts being slightly greater than they should have been and reported visitor counts being grossly greater than they should have been. This patch also fixes a defect (CR36598) where Extended databases were not able to be processed as if they were a log file. Identification --------------- The build number for the patch release is 855. The build number is displayed by Analyzer when entering the command fwa5 -ver in the command line Installation -------------- This patch is delivered via a new installer. To upgrade an existing version 5.0 installation of Analyzer, simply install this patch over the existing installation. To do this, log on as a root user and enter the following in the command line: rpm -i --force analyzer-5.0-linux-2.4-intel.rpm This should overwrite the existing version in the default location. If you have troubles overwriting the existing installation, you may un-install the previous version by entering: rpm -e Analyzer-5.0-0 If you wish, you may copy the current application to another location from /usr/local/Analyser5/ folder prior to doing the above step Analyzer Team - May 5, 2003
