Release Information

LATEST VERSIONS: JCLASS SERVERVIEWS 6.0.0 and DESKTOPVIEWS 6.4.1

JCLASS SERVERVIEWS 6.0.0

The latest release of JClassServerViews includes these new features and updates:

JClass ServerChart

  • Data Thresholds - New data thresholds for bar charts enable you to change some or all of (fill in) a bar when a predefined threshold is attained.
  • Hole Styles - New holeStyle object for representing hole values on plot, polar, and area charts.
  • Threadsafe Label - New JCLabel object is a threadsafe JLabel.
  • Pick Line - Support for picking a data series line on a plot chart.
  • Optionally Skip Weekends on Time Axis - Show weekends or not, as required.
  • Gradient Paint - New gradient paint option is available.
  • Markers and Threshold - Improvements include LegendImageMaps, picking a marker/threshold, variable start and end values on thresholds, and optionally including marker/threshold data in bounds.

JClass ServerGauge (brand NEW set of components)

  • Circular gauge - Create a full or partial circular gauge with a graduated scale, such as a dashboard gauge.
  • Linear gauge - Create a horizontal or vertical linear gauge with a graduated scale, such as a thermometer.
  • Indicator gauge - Create a gauge whose shape, color, and/or text attributes provide context for the value represented by the gauge, such as a rectangular gauge that turns red when its current value falls outside of a predefined range of values.
  • Indicator gauge panel - Create a panel of gauges to represent a value within the context of a range of values, such as a five-star rating system.
  • Graph - Create a graph that reflects the relative changes of a fluctuating value.

JClass ServerReport

  • Frames within frames - Ability to add a frame to a parent frame within the flow of a document. For example, you can use a child frame as a drawing canvas and then add the finished drawing to a particular place in the flow to a parent frame; this removes the need to calculate possibly tricky offsets within the parent frame.
  • Rendering of XML fragments - Ability to add a (well formed) fragment of XML to a flow or frame instead of specifying the whole document in XML.

JCLASS DESKTOPVIEWS 6.4.1

The latest release of JClassDesktopViews includes these new features:

  • JClass Chart - Improved anti-aliasing controls and improved gridline and tick support
  • JClass PageLayout – Added support for GradientPaint in PDF graphics driver
  • JClass Gauge - Interactive dials and gauges to make customized dashboards easier
