Oracle Protection & Instant Recovery
NetVault FastRecover now offers backup and instant recovery for Oracle data stored on Windows platforms. FastRecover is able to take real-time snapshots of the Oracle database and safely stores them in a local FastRecover server for fast recovery. In the event of a corruption or data loss, your end users have access to the Oracle application and its associated data just seconds after a restore is initiated – regardless of the database size. The data can be restored to the same or alternate location.
Integration with Traditional Tape Backup
Many organizations would like to complement their traditional daily backups with continuous data protection for their mission-critical application servers. Now FastRecover allows you to export datasets and back them up with your traditional backup solution to tape. FastRecover integrates with Quest’s own NetVault Backup—as well as practically any other third-party backup software, including Symantec NetBackup and Backup Exec, CommVault Simpana, and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.
Extended Platform Support
NetVault FastRecover now supports Windows 7. The solution is certified for Windows, having passed the Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) testing process. It has also qualified for the Microsoft Designed for Windows Logo, so you can rest assured knowing that FastRecover is thoroughly tested to work with Microsoft-provided tools, ensuring a positive user experience.
Integration with Quest Recovery Manager for Exchange
Continuing with Quest’s vision to deliver an integrated data protection portfolio, FastRecover now integrates with Quest Recovery Manager for Exchange. With this integration, you can now take recovery to the next level, using Recovery Manager to search for and extract individual mail items from a FastRecover dataset with surgical precision. Recovery Manager’s extensible search capabilities allow you to search by date, attachment type and message class. You can even search deleted items.
