ALISO VIEJO, Calif., April 25, 2011 – Quest Software (Nasdaq: QSFT) today announced the availability of the newest release of PacketTrap® MSP, a robust, remote monitoring, management and service delivery platform for SMB managed service providers (MSPs). The new release has been enhanced with security features, including the integration of antivirus (AV) detection software into the PacketTrap MSP platform. The integration of this new security functionality allows MSPs to sell a value-added service that ensures customer networks and devices are protected against the increasing number of malware threats and attacks. PacketTrap MSP now also features customizable reports and a Global Policy Management tool that easily maps to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and streamlines daily network monitoring and management. “Working with customers in the government and private services industry generates a need for us to offer top-notch network security solutions,” said Matthew Paredes, president, Central Valley Networks. “Integration of a well-known antivirus solution into the PacketTrap MSP platform that we already use enables us to ensure our customers’ networks are protected without having to access various systems and complicating daily network monitoring.”\PacketTrap MSP provides an affordable way for the MSP in the SMB space to offer customers a complete infrastructure monitoring service. The product addresses critical challenges including traffic analysis, application and VoIP monitoring, and virtualization/private cloud management. With the release of the new version, PacketTrap MSP meets customer needs for solutions that simplify management of networks, and also offers valuable new services.
PacketTrap MSP is perfect for a growing number of MSPs that service smaller customers. It delivers capabilities that enable them to offer greater value to existing customers, as well as attract new ones,” said Matt Bolton, vice president of the network management division, Quest Software. “As IT networks become increasingly more complex, it is evident that we need to keep up with the technology. Building impactful views and reports for customers, with information displayed the way MSP and PacketTrap customers want to see it, sets our services apart from those offered by competitors.”
