Quest Software Simplifies Multi-instance Backup Management with LiteSpeed for SQL Server

• Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT)  today released a new version of LiteSpeed® for SQL Server, which now offers multi-instance backup management so DBAs can easily apply consistent backup strategies across the entire SQL Server environment. The new release also includes Adaptive Compression, a feature that automatically performs real-time adjustments to backup compression in response to changing server loads. A Best of Tech-Ed finalist in backup and recovery, LiteSpeed for SQL Server will be showcased at the event, May 16-19, in Quest booth 403.
• LiteSpeed’s new Backup Templates feature gives DBAs the ability to design and, when needed, modify SQL backup strategies and easily deploy them to the entire SQL Server environment across the organization. 
•  LiteSpeed also now includes an Adaptive Compression feature which automatically performs real-time adjustments to backup compression in response to changing server loads. Users can automatically leverage available server resources for optimal backup processing and smaller backups in the shortest possible time – all without affecting other SQL Server operations or processes running.
• Adaptive Compression is now supported by LiteSpeed’s patent-pending Fast Compression technology, which can reduce backup storage and backup time by up to 85 percent over competing solutions by intelligently backing up only database changes.
