Aliso Viejo, Calif., Oct. 6, 2011 – Quest Software, a provider of virtual data protection, today announced that Quest® vRanger® has achieved VMware Ready™ status. This designation indicates that vRanger has passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware and is now listed on the VMware Partner Product Catalog.
Passing the extensive VMware-specified testing helps ensure that vRanger makes best use of VMware technology and is ready for deployment in customer environments.
“We are pleased that vRanger qualifies for the VMware Ready™ logo, signifying to customers that it has passed specific VMware testing and interoperability criteria and is ready to run in production environments,” said Sheryl Sage, Director, Alliance Programs, VMware.
“VMware’s vSphere® 5 represents a logical and exciting advancement for VMware, particularly as it pertains to the scalability and availability enhancements in the area of storage,” said John Maxwell, vice president, data protection product management, Quest Software. “As a longstanding VMware partner, Quest vRanger has supported vSphere 5 since its GA, and passing the VMware Ready validation process further demonstrates our continued commitment to delivering software solutions that enable VMware customers to get the most from their infrastructure investment.”
