StealthCollect Installation Upgrade

For mixed environments containing both SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000, the Performance Analysis agent (StealthCollect) must be upgraded. Use the Performance Analysis agent Patch Installer to upgrade existing agents, by running the upgrade once for every host containing an agent installation (whether middleware or monitored host installation).

1. Place the SM15910W.pkg package and the patch_installer.exe files (downloadable from the Performance Analysis web site) in an empty directory on the client computer
2. Run the patch_installer.exe
3. Specify the package file name when prompted.
4. Specify the host name on which the agent is installed.
5. Specify the agent communication port (default: 3566).
6. Specify the Quest launcher user (default: quest).
7. Specify the Quest launcher password (default: quest)
8. Wait while patch_installer.exe upgrades the agent.
