StealthCollect Agent Installation Files

StealthCollect installation can be performed either remotely or locally (recommended). Remote installation is performed by using a wizard run from your Windows-based client. Local installation is performed by running the Windows-based installation wizard locally on the server host. StealthCollect can be installed in either a single or multi-tier configuration (recommended). In a multi-tier configuration, the middleware resides on a host other than the monitored instance host. The middleware is responsible for the processing and storage of real-time and historical performance data.

Use the local installer for new installations and when you have full access to the target and middleware servers. The local installer does not support upgrading of existing agents. Use the remote server installer if either you are installing a new agent and the files cannot be manually copied to the target server or you are upgrading an existing agent.
