Before installing SQL Navigator, ensure your system meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements:

Note:

- SQL Navigator supports 64-bit for Windows XP/Win7 with a 32-bit Oracle Client.

- It is recommended that you have the latest Windows Service Pack and Updates.

Oracle Client

  • Oracle v9 Client (Net 9)
  • Oracle v10 Client (Net 10) or Instant Client v10
  • Oracle v11 Client (Net 11) or Instant Client v11

However it is recommended that you connect to Oracle 9i or above databases via Oracle client versions 9i or above. 

Please refer to the Oracle documentation for 10g or above instant client server compatibility.

Citrix/Terminal Server Support

Citrix products supported include:

  • Platform Level - MetaFrame XPa 1.0 Server for Windows
  • Feature Release - MetaFrame XP 1.0, Feature Release 1,2 and 3.
