| Quest SQL Server Experts |  | Kevin Kline has more than 18 years of experience in the IT industry and is a recognized SQL Server expert. In addition to being a Microsoft SQL Server MVP, Kevin is a regular contributor to database technology magazines and discussion forums. Kevin is the author of the O’Reilly titles SQL in a Nutshell and Transact-SQL Programming. He is a founding board member of PASS - the international SQL Server user group.

 | Bryan Oliver was VP of Research and Development for Imceda Software and works as lead developer with Quest Software for a number of solutions, including LiteSpeed for SQL Server. Bryan’s position allows him to work with some of the largest and most recognizable SQL database environments in the world. He is also a valued speaker at conferences such as SQL PASS and SQL Server Summit. Born and raised in Australia, Bryan graduated from RMIT University in Melbourne and was an early adopter of SQL Server.
|  | Brent Ozar is a SQL Server Domain Expert based in the Houston area with Quest Software. Brent has a decade of broad IT experience, performing systems administration and project management before moving into database administration. In his current role, Brent specializes in performance tuning, disaster recovery and automating SQL Server management. Previously, Brent spent 2 years at Southern Wine & Spirits a Miami-based wine & spirits distributor. |  | Ari Weil Ari is a SQL Server expert and also brings more than 8 years of industry experience working with Oracle, DB2 and related technologies. He is a senior member of the Quest Software Performance Analysis development team and a major contributor to the development of Performance Analysis across database platforms. Ari holds a bachelor of arts degree from the Ohio State University.
|  | Patrick O’Keeffe is a senior software architect for Quest Software, where he specializes in the design and implementation of diagnostic and performance tools for Microsoft SQL Server. Patrick has more than 12 years of experience in software engineering and architecture and spoke at Tech Ed 2004 Australia.
|  | David Gugick is the director of product management for the SQL Server solutions at Quest Software. He has more than 16 years technical and management experience in application development and database design. Before coming to Quest, he had overall responsibility for Coefficient, Imceda’s SQL Server performance profiling solution. David is a Microsoft SQL Server MVP and a published author. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan.
|  | James Delve is a member of Quest’s Systems Consultant team in Melbourne, Australia. James has over nine years professional experience in technology, including enterprise SQL Server deployment, working to assist customers with monitoring and application management solutions, and SQL Server management.
|  | Jason Hall is a solutions architect for Quest Software, specializing in the architecture and implementation of disaster recovery and high availability solutions. Jason has also done extensive work in the field specializing in performance monitoring and tuning. In addition to on-site customer facing work, Jason has presented on Disaster Recovery to SQL Server Users Groups in Houston, Seattle and Chicago, as well as at SQL PASS conferences and SQL Server Summits.
|  | Dave Swanson works as the Product Manager for LiteSpeed for SQL Server and Capacity Manager for SQL Server. After graduating University of Arizona and completing a Computer Science curriculum at Northeastern University, he began his career working as a Delphi developer and DBA.

| SQL Server Industry Experts |  | Denny Cherry has over a decade of experience managing SQL Server, including MySpace.com’s over 175 million user installation, one of the largest in the world. Denny’s areas of technical expertise include system architecture, performance tuning, replication and troubleshooting. Denny uses these skills on a regular basis in his current role as a Sr. Database Administrator and Architect at Awareness Technologies. Denny is a longtime member of PASS and Quest Software’s Association of SQL Server Experts and has written numerous technical articles on SQL Server management.
|  | Hilary Cotter is a seasoned IT professional with more than 20 years of experience as a web and database consultant in the tri-state area of NY/NJ/CT. He is currently serving as Director of Text Mining and Database Strategy for RelevantNoise.com. Hilary Cotter is a key contributor to the SQL Server community, he has spoken at a variety of user groups and trade shows and is active on SQL Server newsgroups with over 17,000 posts to date. In 2005 he published a book on replication and is writing another about Microsoft search technologies. Hilary has been a SQL Server MVP since 2001 specializing in replication, and full-text search, he is also a member of PASS and Quest’s Association of SQL Server Experts.
|  | Michelle Gutzait has worked in IT for more than 20 years as a developer, business analyst and database consultant. She has worked exclusively with Microsoft SQL Server for the past ten years, consulting for many diverse clients. Michelle's skills include infrastructure and database design, performance tuning, security, high availability and clustering, consolidation analysis, disaster recovery, very large databases, Replication, T-SQL coding and optimization, DTS/SSIS packages, administrative and infrastructure tools development, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, MIIS, training developers and DBAs. Before focusing on SQL Server, she worked as an Oracle developer, business analyst and development team lead for almost 10 years. |  | Geoff Hiten is a SQL Server consultant and Microsoft MVP who lives and works in the metro Atlanta area. He began working with SQL Server in 1992 with version 4.2. He specializes in highly available and high-performance SQL systems. Recent projects include system upgrades, platform migrations, performance tuning, custom reporting solutions, and database platform implementations. He is also involved with the Atlanta area Microsoft Database Forum Users group (AtlantaMDF) and can be found lurking in the halls at PASS Community Summit events. Geoff is also a member of Quest’s Association of SQL Server Experts.
|  | Thomas LaRock is a seasoned IT professional with almost a decade of technical and management experience. Currently serving as a database engineering team lead with ING Investment Management, Thomas has progressed through several roles at ING, including programmer, analyst, and DBA. Prior to ING, he worked at several software and consulting companies, working at customer sites in the United States and abroad. Thomas holds a MS degree in mathematics from Washington State University and is a member of PASS and the Usability Professional’s Association. Thomas is also a member of Quest’s Association of SQL Server Experts.
|  | Tom Sager is a DBA team leader at E.ON U.S, a diversified energy services company. He has been with the company some 17 years, in successive application development, database administration and leadership roles. Tom has technical expertise in performance tuning, high availability and disaster recovery and his team also specializes in managing heterogeneous database environments with mixed SQL Server, Oracle and DB2 environments. Tom is a prolific author, with over 50 published articles on SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, mainframe, Windows and UNIX. Tom has served on the board and is a member of PASS, and is also a member of IOUG and Quest’s Association of SQL Server Experts.
