Toad® for IBM DB2® z/OS Version 3.1

General Functionality

• Support for XQuery statements – The SQL Editor in Toad for DB2 now supports XQuery statements.

• Spotlight® on DB2 Launch Point – You can now select Tools | Spotlight on DB2 (or Spotlight on DB2 z/OS) to open Spotlight on DB2 to monitor activity and performance your database or subsystem.

• Option to define the data-preservation method for advanced ALTERs – By going to Tools | Options | Databases | DB2 | General, you can define the default method for all advanced ALTERs.

• Bind/REBIND/FREE commands available for DB2 z/OS - Toad provides these DB2 utilities to manage your packages and plans. You can customize command options and generate, execute, and save utility scripts.

Minimum Client Hardware Requirements

• 600 MHZ Processor
• 171 MB of disk space for installation
• 512 MB of RAM minimum, 768 MB recommended

Minimum Client Software Requirements

• Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003, XP Professional or Vista
• Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or later
• Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0
• Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5.0 or later (for viewing the Getting Started Guide)
• Client connectivity and configuration for each database (pre-requisite for connecting)

• DB2 z/OS 8.1 or later (In full feature mode)
