Quest Webthority

Web Access as Secure as Local Access

Quest Webthority provides secure access to critical Web resources while protecting systems from direct exposure. Authentication and authorization are based on Active Directory (or any existing directory) as well as group memberships to support a wide range of authentication methods and security systems.

Webthority is an integrated security solution that enables you to provide employees, customers and partners with secure, browser-based access to essential information without adding infrastructure or complexity.

Features

  • Remote Security - Uses existing authentication systems to control access for remote users and protects your corporate resources from direct exposure.
  • Active Directory-centric and Directory Agnostic - Leverages Active Directory (or any other directory) to establish secure, consolidated remote access while extending existing practices, policy, roles and rules to remote access.
  • Web Single Sign-on - Provides a single point of secure internal and remote access for Web-based applications.
  • Landing Page - Groups application links together to provide an easy-to-use and consolidated view of corporate resources.
  • Role-based Access Control to Web Resources - Leverages the roles, rules and policies already in place through Active Directory for connected access, while protecting actual contact with resources through a reverse-proxy architecture.
  • Compliance - Provides comprehensive log and audit capabilities to track remote access activities, while addressing compliance requirements for access control and segregation of duties.
  • Streamlined Access Control for Reduced Management Costs - Reduces the cost of managing security and controlling access in heterogeneous, distributed Web server environments using a centralized, Java-based GUI.

  • IAM Integration - Integrates with existing identity and access management solutions for multifactor authentication, AD account administration, self-service password reset, AD bridging.
  • SAML Federated SSO - Enables Web SSO to SAML-aware applications and services, including cloud-based services such as Salesforce.com and Google Apps.
  • Datastore - Provides a secure store of usernames and passwords for easy user access to apps that can't be integrated with Web SSO authentication methods.

Benefits
