AOL Change Management for Oracle E-Business Suite

Abstract

Change is one of the few constants with the Oracle E-Business Suite. During the implementation, upgrade and on-going support phases of a project, many changes will be required, including the need to configure and re-configure the application. Since the success of the enterprise depends a great deal on the Oracle E-Business Suite, adept analysis of change management approaches to configuration data is essential.

Cost and risk are the two most significant components when measuring any change management approach for configuration data. This paper contrasts the traditional method of manually entering configuration changes with two alternative approaches: Oracle’s FNDLOAD utility and Quest’s Stat ACM.
