Quest Data Protection is excited to announce that we have partnered with industry leader, Greg Schulz of StorageIO to launch a new online educational series: Backup.U The objective of the series is to decipher many of the challenges your organization faces when backing up diverse IT environments, considerations like data residing in applications, cloud, physical and virtual devices. The series will focus on helping IT professionals get a refresher on the fundamentals of the practice of backup and recovery. You know, getting back to our roots.
During the series, Greg will lead you through the basics of backup and recovery by demystifying industry buzzwords in plain English - without vendor hype (yes, including from Quest! [;)] ). Together, we’ll work through the basics of creating a backup and recovery strategy for a real-world environment via documents, real-time discussions, and interactions in our online communities.
Don’t worry there’s no prerequisite knowledge required to attend. We’ve divided the webinars into an introductory 101 level for people new to IT and an advance 201 level for seasoned pros. The 101 material will be delivered via a webinar, and the 201 material will be discussed via Google+ hangouts. We’re making it easy for you to participate and interact from your desktop. We’ll be taking questions and having discussions with you via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Quest Community.
Although there’s no test to pass, we will giveaway sets of Greg’s book along with t-shirts, and phone stands at the end of each session. For one lucky winner who attends all of the webinars, we will award a 10 inch Dell Latitude tablet. We’ve made it easy for you to join us.
You will need to take these simple steps to get back to basics with us!
