Quest® Workspace^TM ChangeBASE 5.2 Hotfix for Windows Server 2008 (R2)

Description

When installing ChangeBASE 5.2 on a Windows Server 2008 (R2) platform, the installation would fail during the IIS Configuration stage.
This hotfix consists of a Transform file (MST) that must be applied to the ChangeBASE 5.2.0 installer (MSI) during installation. With this Transform file applied, installation of ChangeBASE 5.2.0 will complete successfully.

Determining if This Hotfix Is Needed

This section describes the issues addressed by this hotfix. This hotfix should only be applied if you are experiencing the following situations:

• You intend to install ChangeBASE 5.2.0 Windows Server 2008 (R2)

Files Updated

No files are updated by this hotfix. A Transform file "ChangeBASE 5.2.0 25045Fix.mst" must be applied to the ChangeBASE 5.2.0 Installer file "Quest Workspace ChangeBASE 5.2.0.msi".

Installing This Hotfix

1. Download patch from the support site: https://support.quest.com/

2. The Transform "ChangeBASE 5.2.0 25045Fix.mst" and the ChangeBASE Installer "Quest Workspace ChangeBASE 5.2.0.msi" must be placed in the same folder.
3. Either create a shortcut containing the following command, or issue the command from a command prompt window sitting at the folder containing the MSI/MST
msiexec /i "Quest Workspace ChangeBASE 5.2.0.msi" TRANSFORMS="ChangeBASE 5.2.0 25045Fix.mst"

Determining if This Hotfix Is Installed

To determine if this hotfix is installed:

1. Correct application of the hotfix is indicated by a successful installation of ChangeBASE 5.2.0.
2. In Help --> About --> Installed Components, the Internal Build Number should be incremented to "9"

Removing This Hotfix

To remove this hotfix:

1. There is no reason to remove this hotfix. If you wish to reverse the changes, uninstall ChangeBASE 5.2.0 and re-install ChangeBASE 5.1.0.
