What comes to mind when I throw out words like Security and San Francisco?

The RSA conference, of course. It’s only the largest security show and has been held in San Francisco for the past 13 years. I myself have attended 8 of them and look forward to my annual trip to the bay area. It’s been great each year to learn about the advancements in security technology and having access to so much information in one spot is amazing. It’s also a chance for me to actually talk with lots of security focused individuals and get their perspective on the market and the issues that they are having on daily basis.

This year represents a new chapter for me as now I will go as a Dell employee and I am interested to see the different reactions from people about Dell’s acquisition of Quest Software and our ability to now drive connected security with both outside-in and inside-out protection. If you are headed to RSA next week make sure stop by Dell Booth #2053, we can chat about security while you watch a woman get sliced in half and have a chance to get a $25 American Express gift card. And if you are looking for good places to eat while you are there, Mel’s drive-in for breakfast, Wichcraft for lunch, and John’s Grill for dinner are a few favorites of mine!
