Upgrade from W2012 R2 Coordinator (6.7) to W2019 Coordinator (7.1.1)

Hi,

I recently take back an old project concerning the upgrade of Change Auditor to a new server, and I have some doubts about it.

Our Change Auditor release is old (6.7), and the coordinator is installed on a Windows Server 2012 R.

Our goal is to move the coordinator on a new server running Windows Server 2019, our Change Auditor database is running on a SQL Server 2016 instance so no change is needed here.

I saw in the documentations that 6.7 agents can connect to 7.1.1 coordinator, so my upgrade plan is the following :

1) Install 7.1.1 Coordinator on the 2019 Server.

2) Reused the old coordinator configuration to setup the 7.1.1 like in the upgrade video from Quest support site (installation name, SQL Server\Instance, ports used, client upgrade etc...)

3) Connect the old agents to the new coordinator (I don't know exactly how to proceed here, does the agents automatically detect a new coordinator) ?

4) Remove the old coordinator.

5) Upgrade the agents to 6.7 to 7.1.1.

Am I wrong on the steps to follow ?
