ARS 7.2.1 Web Interface Group Scope and Type are grayed out for users with read-only access to Groups

I want a group of users to be able to see Group Scope (Domain Local, Global etc) and Group type (Security, Distribution) within the Web Interface.

These users are configured via an Access Template to Read All Properties on groups - there is no write access.

As such they are are unable to determine what the group scope or type is under Group General Properties as these are completely grayed out.

If the configuration is changed to allow write access to the Group Type property then Scope and Category settings become visible.

The Web Interface Group/General Properties/Group scope entry is also unmodified.

Any ideas why this is happening or is this expected behaviour?
