SQL Server 2016 Developer support

Hi,

In a POC context the customer would like to use SQL Server 2016 Developer Edition.  According to the Microsoft docs it should be a full featured instance of SQL Server, with simply licensing restrictions.  So I expect it to work fine with OneIM v8 but just looking to confirm if anyone has already tried it out?

thanks,

Rob.

  • +1 for George. The developer edition is a full-featured on comparable with the enterprise edition but without the permission to use it in production environments.

"Build, test, and demonstrate applications in a non-production environment with this full-featured edition of SQL Server 2017."

"SQL Server Developer edition lets developers build any kind of application on top of SQL Server. It includes all the functionality of Enterprise edition, but is licensed for use as a development and test system, not as a production server. SQL Server Developer is an ideal choice for people who build and test applications."
