one IDM Web-portal customisation

Hi Team,

I'm using one Identity Manager Active Directory Edition V71.1 and Password Manager 5.7.1, our requirement is to change the Password Manager URL in one IDM web portal, (Under one IDM Portal if we click Manage my password then it will redirect to password manager url) that link is to be changed, kindly guide me to change it. where and how to.. need step by step procedure

  • This would have to be done via Web Designer. Where is the password manager url located on the Identity Manager web portal? Is it on the main page or somewhere else? We would need to know as whichever module it is contained within would need the url updated. Once you figure out the module it should be fairly easy to get this changed. What I would suggest to do first is open up Web Designer and log in with an applicable account. Once logged in create a usable connection, which basically means login to the preview portal

Now once you are logged in navigate to the spot where the Password Manager URL resides. Within Web Designer make sure to click on Properties on the bottom left hand side

It will display the contents of the page that you are currently on in the preview window. Highlight the link in the preview window (see how I selected Welcome) and left click.

The properties window will change to meet that property (see below).

Then just right click on the highlighted one and select Show definition object'

  • This will then show you the exact module/component to update. Just make sure to click on node editor on the bottom left first

That should be enough to get you started

  • Thank you so much it works now. and one more question/doubt i have one doubt related to One IDM, what is meant by Outstanding accounts? what it does?

  • Separate questions should be in a different post. During synchronization Identity Manager will mark an account as Outstanding when it is not found in the target system. For example if an ADSAccount exists in Identity Manager but no longer exists in the target system AD, when a synchronization occurs for this target system this account will  be marked as outstanding on the Identity Manager side. For more information click on the link below and navigate to the header "Post-Processing Outstanding Objects"
