v8.0.1 web portal upper frame refresh

Hi there,

In v8.0.1, the web portal shows ootb an upper frame with, left to right, the logo, search box, alert, shopping cart, user menu, bookmarks, help. If you hover the mouse over the user menu icon, the displayname of the logged user is shown. Using that menu, the user can access her/his profile and modify the firstname or lastname. In either case, the displayname is not updated. If you hover the mouse again over the user icon, you may notice that the displayname has not been refreshed with the new data. Is this a bug? Is there a quick workaround to solve it?

    Yes, we're allowing our employees to modify their basic profile (not the centralaccount). Correct the first , lastname in case of any mistake, or the telephone if it changes, or add a secondary email address that they might use later to recover the password. That's when I've noticed this behaviour. 

    That's right   , logging out and back does update the info. 

      the whole name, both first and last or you mean the username  ? If the latter is the case, then I understand , 'cause it's the attribute used for login. But either the First or Last? I guess they're not related to the session at all.

    It doesn't have anything to do with the attributes used for login. It's just that this particular string is generated at login time.

    You may be able to achieve this behaviour by reloading the "User" collection. Disclaimer: I have not tried this.
