When using PSM Is it possible to connect to the Safeguard port X1 using a NAT'd IP address?

Hi:

I try to connect the Safeguard from outside of company.  The Safeguard has configured the internal ip 192.168.100.100 for the port X0 and 192.168.100.101 for the port X1.  We make the NAT for both the X0 and X1.

After we approved the workflow  request and get the RDP file from browser.  When we opened the RDP file, it failed to connect to safeguard.  The reason is RDP connection IP is using internal 192.168.100.101 not the NAT IP.

How can I solve this problem?

  • Hi Andy,

This issue is being tracked as a feature enhancement # 766522 but there is no ETA on when this would become available yet.

The X1 Interface doesn't currently accept FQDN name which could have been used in a split DNS scenario to route the session connections to the NAT'd IP address that way.

Workarounds for now would be to have external users access via VPN or Virtual Desktop or Citrix type environment to the internal network.
