Issue in Deleting system in TPAM

Hi Team,

while deleting system in TPAM i am getting the error as

Delete failed for the following reasons: administrator has unsatisfied password release review requirements for RequestID: 1-8626.

Could you please advise the steps to resolve this issue. Thank you.

  • Check out kb 230350 This  has the answer to your question.

You will need to find which account associated with the system you are trying to delete has an open review associated with it.

    Hope this helps.

    From KB 230350

Delete failed for the following reasons: [username] has unsatisfied password release review requirements for RequestID: 1-1234 (230350)

    • Description

When trying to delete a Managed System, the following message is displayed,  "One or more accounts from the specified system has unsatisfied release review requirements and cannot be deleted".

    • Reason

There are Requests for the Accounts in questions for which Reviews have not been completed.

    • Solution

By logging in as an Administrator, you can review some of the available reports under the Reports menu to determine the status of the Request. Use the Request ID or the Account Name to search for requests that still have pending reviews.

To properly resolve the issue, a user that was assigned Reviewer permission to the Account will need to login, search for Request ID and complete the required review.

Once all pending reviews have been completed, you should be able to delete the System or Account in question.

  • Hi Tim,,

I read the steps already but could not see any pending reviews in TPAM console.

In Review -> Password releases I dont see any reviews.

Please advise if there is any different way to find and complete this. Thanks.

  • My first thought is do you have the Reviewer permission assigned to the user you are looking at the accounts assigned to the system you are trying to delete?

You could also sign in as one of the reviewers and then look to see if there are any pending reviews outstanding.

  • I have the reviewer permission but still it says the same error .Delete failed for the following reasons: administrator has unsatisfied password release review requirements for ISA ReleaseID: 1-8626

This is for local administrator account on windows system.

I would like to delete the system along with account.

  • Do you have the reviewer permission explicitly set on this account? If not try adding it and see if you get a change.

If you do then I think you will need to go back through the logs to see what activity has taken place with this account to try to figure out when it was release and by who.and who should have reviewed it.

I do seem to remember an issue where Reviews were not shown when reviewing ISA Password release but this was  in the 912 release I think. I cannot remember the exact details but a hot fix was available and it was added to later releases.

Did you add the reviewer permission after you saw this issue?

It may be that you will need to login as that reviewer who was assigned at the time of the request to see and mark it as reviewed.

At present I cannot think of anything else to try. May be time to log a call with Support and se if they can help.
