Adding additonal Coordinator

Hi Quest,

I would like to upgrade CA 6.8 to CA 6.9.

According to the System Requirements for CA 6.9, Windows 2008R2 is no longer a supported OS. I decided that is probably better now to "move" CA to a Windows 2012R2 machine. To do this, I was thinking of creating a 2nd Coordinator running CA 6.8, decommission the existing  CA 6.8 running on windows 2008R2 and then upgrade the new CA to version 6.9.

there is a Note in the documentation for adding an additional Coordinator that it is recommended to not deploy Agents until both Coordinators are installed. Unfortunately, this is not my situaiton.

Will there be any issues when bringing up an additional Coordinator?

 

We have several other components installed:

  • Change Auditor for Active Directory
  • ChangeAuditor for Active Directory Queries

Must I also install these components on the 2nd Coordinator before retirng hte 1st Coordinator?
