What happen when you change type of alarm from data driven to time driven of existing rule.

Hi,

For WebSphere Server State by default it is a data driven rule.

but i am looking to trigger a alert when application is down for certain time and then it should trigger alert.

To achieve this, can i change the rule type to Time Driven and set behavior like Fire action if 3 Consecutive evaluations are true?

please guide me.

Thanks,

  • Hi Vivek,

Correct, you could do that. I would suggest you use other time driven rules as examples.

I found VMW Agent Data Updates (VMware) and Agent Health State from Core-MonitoringPolicy cartridge.

Important. If you are modifying an existing rule, it is a good idea to copy it, consider to disable the original (if not longer needed), then rename the copied rule.

    I hope that helps.
