Migration of Lotus Domino to Office 365

Hi All,

We have a client using Lotus Notes/Domino 9.0 and wants to migrate to Office 365, we're considering using Quest Tool for easy migration.

Question is, how long will it take? Anyone has idea on how long would it take for the mailbox to migrate from lotus to o365 using quest migrator?

Eg. You can migrate 2GB of data per hour with 10MB internet bandwidth.

Thanks!

  • Directly from MS 4-12 GB (20 concurrency) technet.microsoft.com/.../dn592150(v=exchg.150).aspx

Observed single MAPI migration throughput is in the 0.1-0.5 GB/hour range. More concurrent migrations can be used to achieve higher data migration rates. Single MAPI migration throughput will slow down when on-premises servers or the network is at capacity.

So to answers your question it depends, migrating multiple mailboxes simultaneously will deliver the fastest performance up to the weakest link through put threshold. That weak link could be the source server, the local network or internet network.
