If we install Dell Migration Manager 8.13 , do we have to do the sync from the beginning or the sync will resume where version 8.12 had completed.

1)If we install Dell Migration Manager 8.13 , do we have to do the sync from the beginning or the sync will resume where version 8.12 had completed.

2)Outlook users in citrix : 1400
Outlook users in laptop/ desktop :2000
Shared mailboxes : 2800

If we force the users in desktop/ laptops to use cached exchange mode, do we still need to install 8.13

After forcing cached exchange mode, when sync job run , what will below users experience

Users in citris who use outlook
Users in laptop mode.

Can we make a collection agent where the agent only sync the mailboxes of users who use laptops.

You will need to do an upgrade from 8.12 to 8.13 and this will upgrade the installation.

Technical Support can't really comment on the experience that your users will have after they switch to cached mode. This is performance between Exchange and Outlook without our tool being involved. For what the users will/won't experience you can contact Microsoft for the official answer.

You can make a collection for the mailboxes of laptops without any adverse effects to the other collections.
