Query about Migration Manager for Active Directory

Hello,

Could you please let me know if the migration manager for AD is advised to be run during business hours

Does this cause any impact to the users / services.

We have file servers , exchange , other applications also in the infrastructure.

    Couple thoughts here around performance management with QMMAD:

    1) It is important in the Agent Manager to configure the Domain Controllers that the tool will target. At least this way, you can advise the folks that monitor your DCs that these are the ones that will be communicated with by the DSA (or DSAs as the case may be - whether by migration sessions or the execution of directory sync).

    2) I always recommend that the configured "Domain Controller" should be the RID master if possible as this will give the best performance for object creation since it is this role that creates the RIDs for new objects.

    3) Also in Agent Manager, if necessary, you can configure hours when the DSA agent(s) will be allowed to run. This is not a start/stop schedule but rather more like "blackout" times when the normally "always running" directory sync agent processes will not communicate with the directory (assuming on-going directory sync is setup).
