What is the purpose of media group?

Hi, I am new to Netvault. Can someone explain to me the use of media group? I have search the administration guide but didn't seem to be able to find the definition of it. Thanks

    Hi uminds, in our company we use media group because we do some datacopy on seperate LTO-6 media for some clients.

    With media group we have LTO-6 dedicated. Also, you can set some rights to your users (in manage users), some people can manage LTO-6 from this group and not from other group, etc..
