Rapid Recovery Storage Volume duplicate local mount points

Rapid Recovery Repository/Storage Volume set up with 2 local mount points:  D:\, C:\DLDisks\xxx\xxx.  This configuration is taking up space by duplicating the backup to 2 locations.  I would like to reconfigure the Storage Volume to just use C:\DLDisks?  Is there a guide on reconfiguring the Storage volume or should I delete the storage volume and start over?

  • To clarify, what you are referring to, the c:\DLDisks, does not take up space on your C drive. This is the mount point that we read though on our DLs rather than assign a drive letter and have them appear as a local drive. One isn't that much better or worse than the other, however for Rapid Recovery it prevents you from getting the Windows alert every day saying that your repo drive is full (which it would be/is if it has our repo on it). The Repo is mounted through the mount point, the volume letter of D can be removed so you no longer get the Windows error message about it being full for an example, which can be done through Disk Management.
