is it possible to seed an existing replication?

Hello,

I have a replication that was previously seeded and working well. one of my larger protected machines decided to do a base image for whatever reason, and now I have 1.5TB to replicate across WAN to my second core.

Is it possible to create a seed drive for this, without deleting and recreating replication?

  • Yes. From the source side you would go into outgoing replication, choose the machines that you want to 'seed' and click copy from the toolbar above and that will bring up a wizard asking you where you want the RPs to be copied out to. Then on the target side, once the files are at that location, you go into replication and then incoming replication, choose the machine to import the data and click the 'gear' icon to the right of it and 'consume' which will bring up the wizard to import the data.
