Change IP on primary core

Hi, I see other post that we can change the target ip address of a replication core with only change it in networks setting and replication settings but can we do the same thing in the primary core, does all the protected machine will see the new ip or I need to change the ip on all agent?

I use Rapid Recovery 6.1.3 on DL4300 appliance.

Thanks

  • The Rapid Recovery core server is responsible for all communication with the agents. If you change the IP of the core server, as long as it is still on a network with access to the agents, it will continue to communicate with all the agents and you do not need to change any settings. The primary core server is the command center and it initiates all communication. So changing it's IP is not a problem and requires no changes in the software.
