When installing agent, the SQL options don't appear on new client

I've installed and removed the client from a new Server 2016/sql 2017 installation and when I add the machine to the core, the SQL options aren't appearing. Is there something different I should do? When I've removed the client, I cleared the machine from the core, removed programdata, program files and regclean entries that might still exist, along with a reboot.

Stuck and no idea why it won't register the SQL server portion of the backup agent. Running 6.1.3.100

Maybe a rights issue, the account used does not have SQL rights?

I can log in with the same credentials on the SQL Mgmt interface and run a manual sql backup. I found the chat window and have run through settings and they've opened a ticket.

So I found out from tech support that the 6.1 version does not support SQL 2017 as it can't read the metadata. I will have to wait 'til version 7 later this year. Running native SQL backups for now. :/
