What’s New in Recovery Manager for AD Forest Edition 8.8.1

New features

New features in Recovery Manager for Active Directory Forest Edition 8.8.1:

  • Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2016
    This release can be installed on computers running Windows Server 2016, and you can use domain controllers running Windows Server 2016 for backup and restore operations.
  • Support for Microsoft SQL Server 2016.
    Recovery Manager for Active Directory now offers support for SQL Server 2016.
  • Support for the Protected Users security group in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 or higher.
  • Support for Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2012 R2 and 2016 environments
    From this release, the Active Directory Virtual Lab can create virtual machines using SCVMM version 2012 R2 and 2016.

    Forest Recovery Console improvements:

  • The Verify Settings operation can be performed for selected domain controllers.

  • Forest Recovery Project credentials can be stored at the domain level.
