SQL Server Cumulative Updates

Hi All,

We have Archie Manager 5.3 running on SQL Server 2014 SP2.  The release notes for the software don't mention anything specifically for the Cumulative Updates to the database server, will we run into any problems we if apply CU9 to this server?

Are there any caveats for applying CU Updates to the SQL Server for Archive Manager or are they typically supported along with the major release?

Thanks.

  • Hello Neil.DIXON,

With Archive Manager if the version of SQL you're running such as SQL Server 2014 SP2 is listed as supported in the release notes then it is supported for Product use.

We typically always support the latest version and if a version is not listed as supported in the release notes, it may be available in a later release (if you're running an older product version) or the QA team is verifying it. Regarding CU's though you should not have a problem. If you happen to run into any issues at all please let us know and we will be happy to assist.

As of this writing the latest version of Archive Manager 5.4 supports the following SQL Server versions:

    2017
    2016 SP1
    2016
    2014 SP2
    2014 SP1
    2014
    2012 SP4
    2012 SP3
    2012 SP2
    2012 SP1
    2012
    2008 R2 SP3
    2008 R2 SP2
    2008 R2 SP1
    2008 R2
    2008 SP4
    2008 SP3
    2008 SP2
