NEW RELEASE: Site Administrator for SharePoint more scalable & functional, yet simpler to use than ever

Great news from the SharePoint Business Unit here at Quest: Site Administrator for SharePoint version 4.5 is now available for download. With this release, we continue to improve the product and add features that let it scale to larger environments, more IT and business users and more scenarios. At the same time the huge focus of the product team is to make it simple to understand, deploy and use.

  • How is your site changing over time? See the whole set of new user activity reports
    • Site activity dashboard to analyze user behavior and trends, aggregated change information for the site and its subsites
    • Drill down reports to audit recent content and security changes
    • Best of all, user activity reports are available right after you install Site Administrator, no configuration or extra data collection is required
  • Are you planning for consolidation or migration? The farm overview dashboard is a great entry point for all pre-migration analysis
    • Similar to the Enterprise overview, this dashboard provides aggregated numbers for the selected SharePoint farm
    • Various drill down reports to give you insights on the migration scope and sites usage, identify owners and hierarchies, as well as opportunities for pre-migration cleanup
  • Concerned with SharePoint governance, are you aware of all SharePoint instances in the environment? Check out the SharePoint farms discovery report
    • Identify ALL unknown SharePoint installations, even SharePoint servers where you do not have admin access
    • Any SharePoint version (2003 and later) - view the whole lists or filter by version
