Unable to update the cert on an Agent MAnager

I'm trying to update the cert on one of my Agent Managers and I'm getting an Access Denied message. I'm running the command from an Admin Command prompt and the NTFS security looks like I have Full Access.

This is the message I'm getting.

Trust this certificate? [no]:  Yes
Certificate was added to keystore
keytool error: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Questl\Foglight Agent Manager\jre\1.8.0.121\jre\lib\security (Access is denied)

Anyone run into this before?

  • Hello Sandy,

FileNotFoundException + "Access is denied" mostly point to a permission issue. Which user do you use to start the FglAM? Does that user have full permissions on the mentioned folder and files?

    Regards

    Nicola

  • Hello Nicola,

FglAM is running under the LocalSystem. Looks like it should have Full Control. I opened a support ticket with Quest who had me instead run fglam.exe -C and then use the gui to import the cert.

The agent manager is still missing in action but at lease the cert is there!

  • Hello Sandy,

if you have a support ticket open, then it will be best to continue with my colleagues as we cannot do a full troubleshooting procedure in the forum. They will do the needed steps with you and will find the root cause and solution for the issue.

If reconfiguring the FglAM does not help, then deeper log file analysis is needed and this will be done in the service request.

    Kind Regards

    Nicola
