MAPI CDO for MMAD?

Is the MAPI CDO required for MMAD? If so, why?

Yes. It is required for the product to be installed.

Why? Because the Exchnage Processing Wizard requires MAPI CDO. However with most customers moving to o365 this wizard is now rarely used.
