Hello, does Netvault support backing up a Windows 2012 R2 fileserver that uses the dedpulication feature?

We do support Windows 2012 Dedupe yes, but not in the way of what would be considered "Optimized Backup". By this I mean that while the deduped data is backed up normally after rehydration, we still backup at the file level, in which case these deduplication directories might have large blocks that have changed thus prompting the folders to be modified and updated, triggering the Incremental to back them up. So if it is 200GB that has been changed since the last INC, it will back that up.
This is considered "nonoptimized backups" and the fact that the data needs to be rehydrated is going to throw flags for the directories to get backed up because a bulk of the data in them has been changed.
You could try to enable the option "ignore archive bit" to see if that will help, in the very least on some of the data that may not have yet been deduplicated.
Alternatively, if this server is a Virtual Machine, and you have the VMware Plugin, you can opt to back it up that way as the VMware backups are block level which would be considered an "optimized backup."
