Add additional smartdisk

I currently have a Windows server with Netvault and Smartdisk that is almost full (I cannot add additional disks).

Can I build another Windows server, license another copy of Smartdisk and make it another target for Netvault?

Will Netvault treat (2) smartdisks as two separate targets or can (2) smartdisk be pooled together and presented as one storage target to Netvault?

Is there a limitation of Smartdisk targets that Netvault can manage?

  • Hi balonzo,
You can build another Windows Server, license it and make it another target for NetVault, it will be treated as a another target, you can't pool it with the other one to make it 1 storage.

You can also connect through SAS or map a LUN to your actual smartdisk and add that storage to your smartdisk to be treated as 1 target, but I will assume is not possible and what you can actually do is build another windows server.
