Performance problem in Netvault 12

Hello everyone

I am implementing the Quest solution, Netvault Backup 12.0 in my company. In the first backup tests on an IBM LTO-6 tape, I have very low speeds, around 2 MiB/sec, much lower than expected.

Can you give me any configuration recommendations to improve the performance?

thank you

I would suggest you to change the buffer size for each drive, to do this you need to go to Netvault WebUI -> Manage Devices -> expand Tape Library -> click over the word DRIVE X (where X is the number of drive) and then click Performance button and change Drive Transfer Buffer Size to 524289.

Do this for all tape drives, also change Share Memory to do this go to Netvault WebUI -> Change Settings -> Server Settings -> Process Manager and change Shared Memory (Kb) Used for Process Table to 128,000. After this change is saved you need to restart Netvault service.
