Bug with migrating Sections in rich text fields

Hi,

for example: I want to migrate Notes documents which have Sections (in Sections) in the Body (rich text) field. The content of the rich text was not migrated, but the attachments. I only could solve the problem by changing the Color (see image) to black or red. For me it Looks like a bug. Can you confirm this and will that be fixed?

Best regards,

Michael

  • Hello Michael,

Thanks for posting in the Migrator for Notes to SharePoint (MNSP) community forum. It appears that you are experiencing a very specific issue relating to specific formatting of the source data. What exact version of MNSP are you running (Help | About)?

1.) My first suggestion would be to ensure you are running the latest version of MNSP, which is available for download from the following link:

    support.quest.com/.../download-new-releases

2.) In MNSP Designer, if you click the Preview button and Rich Text View, how does the source data look?

Since this issue is very specific, the most efficient way forward may be to create a Service Request so that we can gather more details about this issue and investigate in greater depth. A Service Request can be created using the following link:

  • Hi Trevor,

    thanks for your answer.

I have updated to the latest version, but the issue still exists.

The source data is empty I think. If I select "BodyHtml" of the document Raw Text View und RichText View are empty. For the document I have fixed it, it shows the HTML and RichText View.

Unfortunately I can't create a Service Request, because the 30 days have expired and the company I'm working for hasn't ordered a licence so far.

    Best regards,

    Michael

  • Hello Michael,

Thanks for the update. Are you working with a particular Quest Account Manager for your MNSP trial? Your Quest Account Manager may be able to assist you in creating a Service Request for this issue. If you need help locating your Quest Account Manager, let me know.
