RemoteScan is not listed as a scanner source within the scanning application or scan button is grayed out

After install of RemoteScan client onto a Windows Server environment, RemoteScan should be immediately available as a scanning source to TWAIN-compliant applications on that Windows Server (no restart required). If this isn't the case, here's what to check:

Check to make sure the twain_32 folder, twain_32.dll (44kb) version, and twunk_32.exe are in the logged-in user’s home path Windows folder. We recommend verifying the home path location by opening a command prompt window on the server and typing SET HOME.

If these files are all present, but RemoteScan is still not available as a scanning source, try running the MSFT Imaging or Document-Scanning Fix (found by navigating to Start->All Programs->RemoteScan->MSFT Imaging or Document-Scanning Fix).
