RemoteScan is showing "Registered to: Illegal Copy"

If RemoteScan is showing it is registered to "Illegal Copy" on the local PC, it is likely due to a corrupted install of RemoteScan on the local PC, caused by antivirus software.

To correct this, re-download the RemoteScan installer from a PC not currently running antivirus (some antivirus products block the part of the download which injects the account information into the software). Before reinstalling RemoteScan, either temporarily disable the local antivirus software or white-list RemoteScan within the antivirus software running on the local PC.

If the reinstall was successful, you should now see "Registered to: [RemoteScan Account Name]" instead of "Registered to: Illegal Copy" in the RemoteScan registration window.
