VA deleted

The Vranger VA was deleted by someone. Is there an easy way to restore them? This is not saved in the backup data

Can a new one simply be installed?
It is a simple Backup2Disk. Is a VA ever necessary or can the backup also run without this?

It would be nice if someone could help here

    Hello, you can deploy a new one if needed. The VA is just a proxy which can be used to offload backup tasks and to replicate virtual machines. If vRanger is local to the environment you are backing up, you do not need a virtual appliance, but if your vRanger is managing a remote site with VA's, you would need a VA to avoid sending backup data through the WAN/VPN.
