George Li is SVP of Operations at Quest Software, where he leads Deal Desk, sales operations, sales compensation, and order management. With over 30 years of experience in high-tech finance and operations, George brings deep expertise in scaling global organizations, optimizing execution, and enabling growth. His strategic insight and operational rigor are instrumental in helping Quest move faster and smarter in a rapidly evolving data and AI landscape.

Prior to joining Quest, George held senior leadership roles including CFO at DecisionLink and Datrium, VP of Business Operations at VMware, and Group Controller at Cisco, where he oversaw multi-billion-dollar datacenter and server businesses. He was also an executive at VCE and played a key role in the formation and rapid growth of their converged infrastructure business.

George is known for his hands-on, empowering leadership style and his ability to build high-performing teams that drive results. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from MIT.
